Case Closed on 2 Suspicious Deaths
Prince Rupert, B.C. – RCMP say two suspicious deaths on the North Coast were the result of a murder-suicide.
Prince Rupert RCMP found the bodies of a teenage boy and a woman at an Ebert St. home April 3rd as they checked on the well being of residents there. Investigators say their probe revealed that the woman killed her son and then took her own life.
“It is with great sadness that we have to inform the community of this incident, and our sincere condolences go out to the family and friends affected by this tragic event,” stated Constable Matt Ericson spokesman for the Prince Rupert RCMP. “We are asking the community to please respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.”
RCMP say no other information about the circumstances surrounding the deaths will be released out of respect for the family.
