"Bloodmoon" as captured by a reader near Hixon .B.C. – photo submitted
Prince George, B.C.- Did you see it? It's called a Bloodmoon, as the Moon takes on a shade of red, but it is actualy a lunar eclipse.
It occurs when the Moon . earth and Sun are nearly perfectly aligned, and the Moon passes directly behind the Earth.
Last night's (early this morinng) display was the first of four lunar eclipses expected this year.
