Hope the driver doesn’t drive for awhile.
Wow, that must have been a heck of a impact to do that to a front end of a truck.
I have started to pull to the side when using the phone.
Why is Highway 97 called the “bypass” it’s a highway. A bypass goes around the city and has no traffic lights like Foothills Blvd, that’s a bypass road. Whenever I hear bypass I have to think of what the heck they are talking about for the proper road name. This city is so weird.
I wonder what the other car looks like?
pookerjams, I think that originally, the bypass did skirt the city. There was nothing on the Spruceland side of it. Probably no lights either. It bypassed the City. The name just stuck. ;)
When the bypass was built there was nothing west if it!
Talk about weird, where did you come up with that name?
Seems like there is a couple of accidents everyday in pg still. Is this road conditions?? Slippery roads ??I thought that reclassification on these hiways would change all this. Lol.
yeah, newbies in town don’t know why its called the bypass. Yep, it was bush back there, The DP Todd site area was a garbage dump.
Sorry, but I like the word, Bypass, way shorter than saying highway Ninety seven.
Besides when you say the bypass, most people see it as the section between the two (4) bridges.
We have Highway 97 (North), the Hart Highway, and the Bypass. They’re all the same thing. I don’t envy visitors to the area trying to make sense of all this.
He Spoke……what a trip down memory lane, do you also remember the Moonlight Drive In Theater off of 5th and Foothills…man those were the days,
and by the way……what a way to personalize your truck
They had Moonlight Drive In theater?? Wowww the stories you must be telling your grandchilden about the good ole days… :)
Actually I liked the Star Time Drive in threater the best.
Yes there was the Star Time Drive In as well, best part about getting to watch a movie in a car, among other things, was filling the trunk with all your peeps so ya didn’t have to pay for them….or you could always Stump sit.
The amount of accidents and near misses I’ve seen in the past few weeks is mind boggling. I was passed today in College Heights by a lady who didn’t even bother to slow down or stop while I was turning, she just slammed up the sidewalk and laid on the horn while she went flying by.
