Prince George, BC – There is no word on the extent of injuries, but one person has been sent to hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Foothills Boulevard that severed a wooden power pole.
Damage to the front end of the car is severe and the wooden pole broke off from its base, but landed upright, just north of 1st Avenue, near the entrance to the parking lot for Moore's Meadow.
RCMP say the crash occurred shortly after 3pm and one person was transported to UHNBC, but there is no word on the victim's condition at this time.
The northbound lanes of Foothills were closed and traffic was re-routed until BC Hydro was able to ensure the area was safe.

Nothing was said about distracted driving… wonder what caused it then….
It’s very obvious that the pole jumped right out in front of the car and that the driver never had a chance.
I think this distracted driving is getting a little over used. It just gives the government another reason to suck money from us. Maybe they avoided a dog that someone doesn’t look after properly and just lets them run lose.
“A little overused”???
Wow, what a comment!
I’m guessing speed that resulted in a loss of control. :)
Why guess?
Dragonmaster is right. That durned pole just jumped right out in front of it!

Why guess?

It wouldn’t be speculation250.com unless I did. It’s tradition to guess. :)
Would it be too much trouble to safely re-enact that accident to find the truth as to how it happened? Observation and logic can’t count.
