Police Seek Suspects in Rash of Grass Fires
Prince George, B.C.- RCMP in Prince George are hoping the public can help them locate those responsible for a rash of grass fires that flared up along Highway 16 yesterday.
Prince George Fire Rescue and RCMP attended to no less than 7 reported grass fires in the VLA area and along the Hudson's Bay Slough. All of the fires were immediately extinguished and all are believed to have been deliberately set.
Although no one was injured and there was no apparent structure damage, the fires are being taken very seriously.
Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the person, or persons responsible. If you have any information about these criminal offences, you are asked to contact the Prince George RCMP at 561-3300 or anonymously at CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477
