Prince George, B.C. – The stage has been set for a referendum for residents in the area from Willow River to Upper Fraser.
They will be heading to the polls on June 21st to cast ballots about funding the East Line Activity Centre and future community facilities along the East Line.
Specifically, they will be asked if they are in favour of paying a tax levy that will cover those costs.
If they vote yes, then funds will be collected through a special tax for that service area.

Lets put it too vote, Do you want to pay more taxes? ….. Results, really, you prefer not to pay more taxes.
Shouldn’t the regional district have taken this voter about last election to see if the community will support the eastline community center.
“funding the East Line Activity Centre and future community facilities”
So..does that give them a blank cheque??
What are “future community facilities” and just how many are there going to be??
Whatever happened to the Water and Sewer System that the residents of Willow River voted for?
Do you guys live in the area? Will this be affecting you at all? If not you should seriously stop typing. A lot of people are of course okay with this tax, it is not a huge increase and if they don’t have it, they will not have an activity center…and if you knew what was available in this area you would have a different view….unless you are part of the entitled group that expect everything for nothing. The Activity Center is also the school Gym.You know for the students that have been without a gym for the past five years. I don’t mind paying the extra little bit on my property taxes and will be pushing it to everyone in the area I know.
