One Farmers Market Closed For Today

Saturday, May 31, 2014 @ 4:01 AM

Prince George, B.C. – The folks at Environment Canada are predicting a fair bit of sunshine this weekend in the Prince George area, weather that might inspire people to be one with nature, exercise that green thumb or tiptoe through some imaginary tulips.

Perhaps your outdoor activities today include a trip to the Farmers Market downtown.  If that is the case you should be aware that the Market in front of the courthouse at 3rd and George is not open to the public today.  As stated in our previous story the courthouse is being used today for jury selection for an upcoming trial.  The jury selection process will continue into Sunday if need be.

But don’t let that stop you from going to the Farmers Market today.  All of the 3rd and George Avenue vendors have been invited to the year-round market on 6th Avenue for the day, with acoustic roots musicians Jeremy Stewart and Raghu Lokanathan on hand to provide some great entertainment.

The market on 6th (behind the Keg) will be open from 8:30 am until 2pm today.
