Quesnel, B.C. – Charges of arson and mischief are pending against two Quesnel residents following a vehicle fire early Friday morning.

Shortly before 2am Friday Quesnel RCMP and the Fire Department were called to a residence in the 200 block of Hartley Street after receiving multiple reports that a vehicle was on fire at that location.

Police arrived on scene and discovered a vehicle on fire in the driveway of the residence. RCMP used fire extinguishers from their patrol cars to extinguish the flames. Further investigation revealed that suspects had also smashed several windows of the residence before fleeing the scene.

Investigation has determined that this was a targeted act.

A 24 year old female and a 28 year old male were arrested and now face charges.
