Prince George, BC – It is the perfect day to lay out a blanket and read a book in the sunshine…

Prince George resident, Sarah Allan, is making full use of the sunshine that is marking the summer solstice.

"It's wonderful," says Allan, who rode her bike down to sit at the edge of the Fraser River in Fort George Park.  Allan says this is her favourite time of year – her birthday is just two days away and it looks like the weather will give her even more reason to celebrate.

Environment Canada is calling for mainly sunny skies today and a high of 20.  Tomorrow will be even hotter with the forecast high to hit 26.

Monday will feature a more clouds, but a respectable 23, followed by some showers on Tuesday to keep everything green.
