Library Tours To Highlight Downtown Prince George
Prince George, B.C. – Summer is officially underway and for most of us that means summer vacations and the peak of the annual tourist period.
Perhaps you have company coming to town and are looking to show off what your city has to offer. Well, the Prince George Public Library may be able to give you a helping hand.
Starting this coming Thursday, July 3rd, the library will be offering guided tours of the historic downtown core. Interesting features and buildings will be highlighted along with some great stories from the unique and often quirky early days of the city. The tour guide is Darcie Smith, and she will be sharing stories and facts about the downtown area and will provide the answers to questions you are your guests might have.
Tours this year will include new buildings, the Knowledge Garden, civic arts and future plans, including the Canada Games House and Civic Plaza.
Tours will run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00am. All tours take about 1 hour to complete. All tours are FREE.
To book a private tour or obtain more information, call 563-9251, ext. 123 or check out the library’s website at www.lib.pg.bc.ca/content/downtown-walking-tour-0.

How about downtown tours for up and coming firefighters, and vacant lot aficionados? Wait! There’s more. With this offer is included a hands on course for panhandler avoidance tips while downtown. Just pay separate bus fare to get you there.
Don’t forget the open drug dealing and prostitution. That’s a big attraction.
The prostitutes were moved to the Millar and VLA areas years ago
