Suspect Arrested In Quesnel Break-Ins
Quesnel, BC – Two Quesnel youngsters got quite a scare when they were home alone earlier this week…
RCMP say a man entered their Uplands neighbourhood residence through an unlocked back door. Quesnel RCMP Media Relations Officer, Corporal Stu Murray, says the suspect was startled, too, when he saw the house was occupied and fled on a bicycle.
Corporal Murray says in a second incident in the same neighbourhood, the suspect was interrupted by a resident returning home…and once again fled on a bicycle.
The media relations officer says police were able to locate and apprehend the suspect in West Quesnel, thanks to assistance from the public. He says, luckily, the suspect did not harm anyone, cause any property damage or get any valuables.
A 42-year-old Quesnel man with a history of property-related offences was taken into custody and will make his next court appearance on July 15th.
