Likely, B.C. – Imperial Metals  is holding a community meeting in Likely this evening.

The mining company has invited all  residents to attend the session at the Likely Community Hall.

Imperial  Metals says it will be providing an update on the  Mount Polley  tailings pond breach, and  detailing  the action plan.

The mining company has until the end of Friday to present its detailed plan for long term  remediation and  mitigation to the Ministry of the Environment.  That plan is to include dealing with fall rain events and the winter freshet.

This evening’s public meeting is set to get underway at 6:30.
