Terrace, B.C. – The  rental scammers are at it again.  This time in Terrace.

A bogus rental  posting on Kijiji,  offered a Terrace house for $999. a month, utilities included.  The person who  posted the ad  was asking that first and last month's rent be forwarded via Money Gram, and that once the money had been received, the keys would be mailed out.

Only problem is,  the house in question is not  up for rent.  It is on the market  to be sold.

The fraudster was very clever as the Email address attached to the bogus  rental ad,  was very close to the real Email Address for the legitimate property.

It was confirmed through the property owners that the house is for sale and not to be rented.

Kijiji has removed the ad from its site.
