Highway 16 Closed East Of Topley

Burns Lake- Highway 16 is closed to traffic, 4 kilometers east of Topley, to 18 kilometers, west of burns Lake , the Decker sawmill, due to a forest fire.

An alternate route is available  via Colleymount – Morice

Oversize traffic is not  permitted. Watch for traffic control stations in both directions.

No time has been given when the highway will re open.

Take the hwy 35 to Francois Lake, drive west down Colleymount road for 60km and connect to the Morice Forest Service road, Drive for another 50 km and your in Houston. Bring a spare tire or two.
