Prince George, B.C. – CN Rail has resumed train service on its main line near Burns Lake.
Spokesperson Louis-Antoine Paquin says service restarted at 6:30 this morning due to a break in the weather.
"Yes, it's because the high winds that were expected never materialized."
CN were shut down at 4 pm Friday but Paquin would not speculate on what that cost the company financially.
He adds they are keeping a close eye on the situation.
"We continue to monitor things and we are still in contact with local authorities to make sure that everything is all right and our trains can run."
