Taking the Bait
Prince George, B.C.- A 34 year old Prince George man is facing charges after someone broke into a bait vehicle in the downtown of prince George.
A suspect was caught on the bait vehicle video, taking a number of items from the bait vehicle around 6:30 Saturday morning..
Police later made an arrest, and the suspect is said to have been in possession of some crack cocaine.
Darryl David Basil is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday morning. Police are recommending charges of theft under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation.

The Prince George RCMP have access to the largest Bait Car fleet in North America, through their partnership with the Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team (IMPACT). This partnership provides the Prince George RCMP with access to any number of vehicles which allows them to address local theft trends.
