Grants Provided For Games Ideas
Prince George, B.C. – We are now just 173 days away from the start of the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George, and the people at City Hall are looking for ideas on how the City can celebrate, enhance and prepare for the event next February. Grants are being provided for the development of those ideas.
The City of Prince George is now accepting applications for the myPG Social Development Fund with the fall focus on helping the city prepare to host the Canada Winter Games. Individuals and groups are encouraged to submit proposals dealing specifically with three main areas: civic identity and pride, cultural richness and safe environments. Successful submissions might include a cultural event, artwork for the downtown or initiatives that better the community as a whole.
A total of $27,950 has been set aside for this specific focus of the grant program. The maximum grant available to any one application has been left open-ended, although were are told it could range anywhere from $200 to $5000, depending on the nature of the project involved.
The deadline for applications is September 30, 2014.
