Prince George, B.C. – The  latest survey on how Prince George residents feel about the  work and services  provided by City Hall  shows snow removal and road maintenance are the top  concerns.

The survey was conducted in early July and  shows respondents are nearly twice as  concerned about  road maintenance this year (35%) compared to last year (18%). There was also a significant increase in  concerns about  snow removal with  13% saying it was  the most  important issue facing the City, compared to  8%  who  pegged it as a major issue last year.

Concerns  about taxes and utility fees  dropped to 4% this year compared to 10% who named it as an important issue  in 2013.

The survey also  indicates  a drop  in concern  for Economic development and downtown improvement over the past year.  The July survey  had  4% saying it was the  most important issue for  Prince George, while   last year,  9%  selected it as the most important issue .

The survey was conducted by the Mustel Group.

Hmmm , not really surprising !

I assume the PAC didn’t even rate a mention? Being prepared and seizing any opportunity from the Canada games through the presentation of our city wasn’t on the radar? And odd that sporting venues and parks or trails doesn’t get a mention?

I guess if one has options limited then those other issues are considered irrelevant to the outcome of the survey?

So, this survey was done in July? Who did they call, where and when? I would if they pick such a small area to call that they can skew the results? Never, ever get these surveys?!If I did , they would get a piece of my mind.

ntkr13… they usually show up as “Unavailable” on your call display, or out-of-prov number.

Apparently they weren’t too concerned that our water is going up by fifty bucks as is the garbage too.. Just look at the City website

I have lived in P.G for over 14 yrs and have never been asked to do a survey?

So they called people with land lines who were willing to do the survey. Must have been a pretty small sample.

I would love to know the ratio of how many people hang up vs. how many people who actually take the survey?

I hope the surveys only involved property owners who pay taxes. They are the ones who pack the load.
