Legebokoff Refuses to Name Mystery Murderous Trio

Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 4:00 AM

Prince George, B.C. The Crown has requested that Cody Allan Legebokoff be cited for contempt.

At issue is  Legebokoff's refusal to  identify  the three people he has referred to as  X Y and Z.  They are the three men who  Legebokoff  says are responsible for the murders of Jill Stuchenko, Cynthia Maas and Natasha Lynn Montgomery.

He had indicated early in his testimony that he would not be giving the  real names of these people because they are involved in the drug trade,  and   if he is  to spend time in a federal prison,  he didn't want to be labelled a rat.

Early into the cross examination Crown Counsel, Joseph Temple called on Mr. Legebokoff  to  identify the  mystery trio.  Legebokoff refused,  and at that point  Temple requested  that  Legebokoff be cited for contempt.

Not long after that request,  the jury would be excused.

The jury did hear the Crown  test the credibility of Legebokoff's testimony remind him that he had told  several detailed  stories to police and conservation officers  when he was  detained at the side of the highway  the night Loren Leslie's  body was discovered.

"By your own admission, the story about  you being out grouse hunting was, in your words,' bullshit'" said  Temple.  To which  Legebokoff  responded "yes"

Temple:  It was very detailed bullshit

Legebokoff:  Yes it was

Temple then went on to  relay  the  stories  Legebokoff had  told to authorities, about a  hunting trip,  a deer in the headlights,  a wounded deer,  and then clubbing the  deer to death.

Under cross examination Legebokoff would  admit to seeing Loren Leslie in the headlights, and beating her.

Cross examination will continue today.
