Prince George, B.C. – School Board Trustees in District 57 are eagerly waiting to find out what comes out of today’s meeting between the two sides embroiled in the teachers dispute.

“We are now, as is everyone in the province, anxiously awaiting the results of that meeting,” says Chairperson Sharel Warrington.

She admits the dispute came up during an in-camera meeting last night but says they weren’t aware that the meeting had been set up.

“Well I can’t really discuss much because it was an in-camera meeting but I have spoken to the media before about our frustrations and of course those frustrations and disappointments continue.”

Warrington says one development from last night however is that the board will follow-up on letters sent to PG MLA’s Mike Morris & Shirley Bond to discuss the dispute.

“We would just like to have a good converstation. We have a very good relationship with our MLA’s and we are always looking to them to support the work of our district. We’re hoping to have a positive conversation and see if there are things they can do to help move this along.”
