Prince George, B.C. – 7 year old Audrey Warren is doing what she can today to help brighten the days of sicks kids receiving treatment in the Pediatrics ward at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia.

She’s opened a lemonade stand outside the Home Sweet Home grocery store on 3rd Avenue until 1 pm to raise money to purchase toys to amuse kids while undergoing treatment.

“I’m doing this because I thought it would be a nice idea to help kids like my brother (5 year old Evan) that have to have things like shots in their arms and legs and other stuff like that.”

Audrey’s mother Natalie says Evan attends the hospital for roughly four hours every three weeks for infusions of medication because he has systemic juvenile arthritis.

“The Child Life program has really been there for us. They provide interactive play, distractions and lots of toys.”
