Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars have signed 1997-born defenceman Kobe Eagletail of Calgary to  a standard WHL Contract.

The  6’1”, 187 pound  Eagletail played last season with the Banff Bears of the HJHL. In 34 games, he scored four goals, 11 assists and added 70 penalty minutes.

“I’m very honored to have to signed with the Prince George Cougars,” said Kobe Eagletail. “It’s always been a dream of mine to play in the WHL and I can’t wait to put that jersey on, and help the Cougars win hockey games.”

“Kobe is a player that came through a great minor hockey organization, (Calgary Bisons) playing against many team’s top lines,” said Prince George Cougars General Manager, Todd Harkins. “He has continued to work on his strength, speed and has impressed our staff throughout training camp. He is an added asset to our back-end that will compete and will be hard to play against throughout the season.”

Eagletail made his Cougars debut this past weekend in St. Albert. He is currently one of 13 defencemen vying for a spot on the Cougars blueline in 2014-15.
