New Ice Age Drawing in More Volunteers
Prince George, B.C. – The PG Cougars new “Ice Age” appears to be catching on – that is if you count the number of volunteers who’ve committed to work home games this season.
Manager of Game Operations Braydon Ouellet says volunteers are up almost 50% over last year.
“I’m very happy, just about everyone from last year is back.”
And despite the fact they’re still short of their goal of attracting 50 volunteers he isn’t too concerned.
“I’m a big believer that after they see what we have to offer opening night – lots of people will want to be a part of it.”
And he says he understands why some people may still be reluctant to take part.
“We haven’t proved anything yet. We’ve yet to play a regular season game here so once people see this team is the real deal and putting their actions where their words are – I believe people will come forward.”
Ouellet says the benefits of volunteering includes a uniform, a credit at the concession stand, world-class training, and tickets for nights they aren’t working.
He encourages anyone interested in taking part to call 250-561-0783, to email braydon.ouellet@pgcougars.com or by going to www.pgcougars.com and clicking on the community tab.
