What part of Red Light you didn’t see and means you can go, and what part of semi going thru green light didn’t you see? Woke me up early with all the sirens.
It seems increasingly more common amongst Prince George drivers to take red lights as suggestions. They mean “stop” not “stop, unless really want to make your left turn.”
Yes because unlike the two of you he is not perfect. Must have been on his phone, or just another jack ass running a light. Couldn’t possibly be anything else!
Thank you for the compliment Rocketeer, I know in all my driving time, I have always stopped at a red light. I really don’t know about phones etc because I don’t have one, but I do know that a RED Light means STOP.

Of course, there are so many legitimate reasons to run a red light.
How does that old joke go?
“Why did you stop at a green light?”
“In case my brother is coming the other way!”
So by your logic, EVERY accident at an intersection is due to someone WILLINGLY and KNOWINGLY running a red light! AND you are taking what is reported as 100% accurate and true to how the incident occurred, even thoughit happened barely 2 hours before this report was made. Fast accident investigation if you ask me!
Lets see, a guy driving a van, sees a red light…and willingly decided to run it when there is a 53′ trailer in the intersection! HMMMMMMM. Maybe more to the story?
Or perhaps you are right, he is just an idiot who doesn’t know red means stop…..I would be interested to see if you would make the same comment to the drive of the van? Easy to have strong opinions when you hide behind a computer!

Like what? What else could there possibly be to the story about some guy running a red light at 5:45 in the morning?
Did he fall asleep? Drop his cigarette? Spill his coffee? Answer his phone? You seem to know, please tell us and end the speculation.
The boogeyman was after him and that’s why he didn’t stop at the red light. Or maybe a jealous husband!!
Could have been any one of those, or stroke, heart attack, who knows. My point was don’t assume he intentionally ran a red light and hit a truck at a well lit wide open 4 lane intersection. I guess none of that has any relevance compared to the fact PG Girl got woken up by the sirens. I am sure the drivers family are very sorry she was disturbed by emergency crews responding to an accident!
I can understand where Rocketeer is coming from. My husband was reported as dying in an accident (and he was a passenger which was not stated) however, posters were implying that he must of died because of his own carelessness ( he must of been using his cell phone, fell asleep etc etc) which wasn’t the case. As the widow, those comments seemed hurtful at the time that I read them and they made me very angry that people assumed to blame him without knowing the full story. I think what Rocketeer is saying is please don’t jump to conclusions, wait for the full story before passing or inferring judgement!
just watched a cop get hit at 15th and central, black expedition with no roof lites, throws on these little interior red/blues no siren runs the lite and gets nailed by a pick up who never had a chance of seeing him. Course it’ll be the civilians fault, but he had no chance of seeing those lites and a siren would of helped.
Hum….read the comment again Rocketeer, The driver of the van received injuries, and was taken to hospital, I would think that if it was a medical emergancy it would have been noted. Also glad that there were emergancy vehicles to help these drivers out, I am not as callous as you make me out to be. And I still stand behind my first comment, whether you like it or not. A red light means stop!
Who knows what caused this crash? Having said that, while most of PG is sleeping there are a whole lot of people driving around out there that have no regard for any of the rules of the road. During my work day/night I witness dozens of incidents that leave me shaking my head.
