Spokesperson Wendy Herring says it’s all for a great cause.

“90% of the proceeds go to food and clean water projects in developing countries and 10% stays in Prince George for Ness Lake Bible Camp, the New Life Centre and inter-varsity at the university.”

It’s become so popular that she says organizers don’t even try to count how many people attend each year.

“I think the community really looks forward to it every year. The Civic Centre has people drop-in and say when’s it coming?”

It runs until 4:00 p.m. today.

Comments

I think its wonderful that groups like this raise funds that actually go where they are needed.
These other commercial “charities” can’t hold a candle to them as far as where the money actually goes.
