Councillor Drops Call to Make Presentation to Ministry of Transportation

Prince George, B.C.- The City of Prince George won’t be pressing to make a presentation to the Ministry of Transportation calling for more development of highways 16 and 97.
Councillor Cameron Stolz was concerned the Province’s transportation blue print was going to be heavily weighted in favour of improvements and development in the lower mainland.
But after hearing Minister Stone articulate that 16 and 97 will be prominent in the development of the transportation blueprint Stolz dropped the request.
Stolz withdrew his call saying he looks forward to reminding the Minister at any and all opportunities of the commitment that has been made to those two highways.

Not much of a call to make, when the Government already had plans in place for these Highways. Looks like Stoltz was looking for an issue to use in the campaign.
If he plans to remind the Minister of any and all opportunities he will first have to win re-election, otherwise he will have to do his **reminding** as a private citizen.
And the useless posturing begins.
Personally I hope he makes that call from his home phone and not from council chambers
There is always some “joker” that just doesn’t “read” the memo…. New requirement for incumbents and candidates. You have two ears and one mouth, this means you need to spend twice as much time listening than you do spend talking.
