Being Power Smart Nets Honours

Prince George, B.C. – Three companies which operate in the Prince George region have been recognized by BC Hydro for being “Power Smart”.
Sinclar Group Forest Products and Canfor Pulp have both been honoured for “Leadership Excellence.”
Nechako Green Energy Ltd in Vanderhoof has been named “Outstanding Energy Efficiency Project”. Nechako is the first company in North America to use waste wood to generate power in a sawmill. The project has displaced 30 per cent of the mill’s electrical load.
In all 30 organizations have been recognized for leadership in energy conservation and efficiency.

It sounds like 30% is a lot, when you look at a sawmill’s electricity bill.
So the gov gives Canfor millions and millions to put in a generator (which means we paid for it) and now they are being rewarded for,it.. Lol
