Pumpkins Fly at Exploration Place

Saturday, November 1, 2014 @ 4:17 AM

Prince George, B.C. – Has the light in your jack-o-lantern gone out? Are you sitting around with a pumpkin or two and not a soul at your place likes pumpkin pie?

Well there is a solution, and a fun one at that. Tracy Calogheros and her fund-lovingpumpkin3 staff at Exploration Place will be blasting those pumpkins to smithereens in the main parking lot of the museum today. From 11 this morning till about 2 this afternoon they’ll be staging the 9th annual Rotten Pumpkin Festival, placing pumpkins in a huge catapult and firing them through the air to a resounding “splat” on the parking lot surface.

It costs only two bucks to have your pumpkin launched. All proceeds go towards kids programs at Exploration Place, as does all the money raised from the $3 cost of a hot dog and drink.

11 to 2 today at Exploration Place.
