Two Face Charges in Wake of Tool Theft
Prince George, B.C.- Two people have been charged following the RCMP’s recovery of tools.
On Sunday October 26th, 2014, Prince George RCMP received a report trailer, loaded with about $50 thousand dollars worth of tools, had been stolen from a location near the corner of Massey Boulevard and Ospika Boulevard in the City.
On Thursday October 30th, the trailer was recovered by the owner in an area off Haldi Lake Road in the City. The trailer had been altered and prepped for painting. The tools were not located.
On Friday October 31st, members of the Prince George RCMP Crime Reduction Team executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a residence on Kenworth Road East in Prince George. Approximately $40,000 worth of the stolen tools taken on October 26th were located at the residence.
Two people have been arrested in connection with this investigation and face charges.
28 year old Jason Robert Fletcher is facing the following charges
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (2 counts)
- Theft Over $5000
39 year old Andrea Erika Johnson is facing the following charge:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Johnson appeared in Provincial Court today. Fletcher has been remanded in custody at least until his first court appearance which is scheduled for Wednesday November 5th, 2014.
