One Less Name in Cariboo- P.G. Conservative Nomination Race
Vanderhoof, B.C.- Thee is one less person in the running for the Conservative nomination in the riding of Cariboo- Prince George.
Gerald Caron of Vanderhoof has withdrawn from that race, and will, instead, seek the nomination in Skeena-Bulkley Valley where has worked in Fort. St. James and Burns Lake for School District 91.
Caron isn’t saying where he will tell his supporters in Cariboo- Prince George to place their ballots at the upcoming nomination meeting.
Caron says “The Party is in search of Conservative women, and I don’t think they want to hear any negativity about Shari Green.” He adds that he doesn’t think T.J. Grewal will be accepted in the nomination process, “It’s been a goose chase. If they (the Party) wanted him it would have been simple enough to fix that one week.” He is referring to the fact that nominees must be members of the Party for a full six months to be eligible, in Grewal’s case, he took out a membership in late May, but nominations close tomorrow, about a week before he would be eligible to run.
If Grewal is not accepted as a valid nominee, there will be just three names on the Cariboo Prince George ballot, Shari Green, Todd Doherty and Nick Fedorkiw.

Best of Luck Gerald. I suspect they might not want to hear negative things about Shari but I am sure they will. To bad, I thought Shari had a lot of potential 3 years ago. Unfortunately, that potential was not what we got.
Best of luck Mr. Caron, unfortunately the chances of winning that riding are very slim, Nathan Cullen has been a great advocate and representative of that region.
No negative things about Shari, that’s all there is, everything she is taking credit for someone else did. Her tactics to secure the nomination are appauling , let’s hope they don’t work… Go Todd Go
Go Nick Go !
And another piece of the puzzle is flipped up. The Conservatives would do well to remember what happened with Valerie Kordyban a few decades ago. And Koryban had a lot more going for her than Green does.
Of all the talented women to recruit in the Prince George area, surely the Conservatives could do better than Green.
I agree anotherside. I’m not sure what Greens intentions are besides demoralizing the entire region much like she’s done in Prince George. Her campaign platform is extremely weak and there is very little room for collaboration with a broader base of people. The fact that she’s a woman and we need more woman in politics argument quite frankly drives me insane. IMO, we just need better people period regardless of gender.
It should be the best person for the job regardless of their gender. There should be more women in politics but unfortunately when someone like Shari Green offends so many voters it sets back any progress.
I don’t see any exercise in democracy here as it relates to the Conservatives. Green, I agree, is a total negative.
Good luck to Gerald Caron!
It doesn’t seem like Harper’s Conservatives care much for democracy anyway.
