Prince George, B.C. – Don Zurowski has conceded defeat in the Prince George mayor’s race.

You could have heard a pin drop as he thanked his supporters and his campaign team.

“I was surrounded by some amazing people. It was absolutely humbling. I would be very disappointed if you went home tonight with regret. You did everything you could for us.”

Zurowski dismissed suggestions he should have attacked his opponent more during the campaign.

“When you win people tell you what a great campaign it’s been and when you lose no one will judge my personal performance more than myself. I could have, should have taken the gloves off maybe but that’s yesterday. Let’s celebrate Lyn Hall’s success today.”

He also disagreed with the view of some he and Hall were difficult to differentiate during the campaign.

“I believe there was a major difference between the two individuals but the community made a decision. The campaign is over. It’s time to get on with it. Let’s support the wishes of the majority.”

As for what’s next in his life Zurowski said in the immediate future he’ll be taking a vacation to Jasper and Valemount for “a log cabin, a fireplace and a good book” and then continue with his community volunteer work and some of his provincial work.

Sha na na na.. Na na na na.. Hey hey hey…. :)

How come the caption doesn’t identify all the people in the photo?

Lol captioning all those people, why? I don’t need to know who they all are.

I’m nosy and don’t want the news folks to be wandering the streets with nothing to do. :)

Don who?

The fluoride in our water supply is also voted out. I guess our water will taste different now.

Pg 80 your an ass. Don was all class tonight.

Bunch of rednecks in this town, no wonder this city never grows. And yes I’m being a sore loser, goes to show PG has the WORST taste in politicians! Get ready for higher taxes because who is going to pay for all the union employee wages when they strike? it’s private sector business, which will not grow under halls leadership. Growth was his last priority. Pg is dead to me.

Don was always a class act and stepped up to the plate when called…I voted for him because I believed he could have changed things for the better. Lyn not so much….Don has Sask. roots, and to me that means better. Not everyone from Sask.is great but I think Don was the right fit for this city at this time….Scary made a mess,,,,I dont think Lyn will clean it up…I think he may be dragging the garbage cart behind her downfalls while waiving. Just saying. Just my opinion….(JMO).

If there was one ounce of class, today isn’t the day to bash the candidates or volunteers who put themselves out there because they believe they can make a difference. The whiners who know it all, please, join an organization that could use your brilliant insight and guidance. Go volunteer for a cause, take your constructive brilliant ideas to the first council meeting on the Hart Highway. I pity the families who own these buffoons. Please stay anonymous, because if you look as goofy as you sound, well, PG has become scary enough without you roaming in daylight.

I am just so happy to have the fluoride out of the water we drink!
