Mobility Scooter Stolen in Quesnel

Quesnel, B.C. – A mobility scooter, used by a person with some disabilities to get around in Quesnel has been stolen.
RCMP say the scooter was stolen around 1:20 Sunday morning from the spot where it was parked in the 800 block of Rita Road in Quesnel.
The scooter was loaded into the back of a pick up truck and the suspects then left the area.
Extensive patrols were made in the area however the scooter was not recovered.
Police are presently canvassing local businesses in the area and collecting surveillance video’s to attempt to identify the suspects and vehicle involved.

Imagine how much easier it would be to locate the scooter if they had to be registered and licensed? Oh wait that premise only works if you are drumming up ICBC pay raises from the new taxes on recreational vehicle registration.
