Are they kidding us? No Strike. BCTF could take lessons……IMHO..LOL

All negotiating must be done by the end of November and ratified by the members inorder to receive their regular pay for all the days the teacher were on strike. Now you know why no support staff went on strike – everyone will receive pay for days not in session. Not bad – no work but still get paid. SD#57 ratified in October.

And to top it out – if you participate (support) in the teachers’ strike you received “strike pay ” to the tune of $375 per week – not bad for double dipping!! You had to report to the picket line for 4 hours per day – no tax etc. Support staff weren’t in a hurry to have the strike end after all, one would get paid one way or 2 ways!
And how about the $40 per day for daycare!!!

You should get together with all the other haters here and have a “can’t get over it” reunion oldman!

Dragonmaster, you seem to be taking issue with what oldman1 is saying. I think it’s fairly reasonable presentation of how things played out.

Perhaps when you refer to the other haters here, you might also take a look in the mirror. I’m sure that you have heard the old phrase about the “pot calling the kettle black”, haven’t you??

Dragonmaster is one of those people who believe it is the responsibility of the government (ie, the rest of us) to provide for her every wish.
