Caron to Back Doherty
Prince George, B.C.- Cariboo-Prince George Conservative nomination candidate, Todd Doherty has just received the backing of yet another Tory hopeful.
Gerald Caron of Vanderhoof, dropped out of the Cariboo-Prince George Riding race for the Conservative nomination last month. At the time, he wasn’t saying where he would advise his Cariboo-Prince George supporters to place their votes, but now says he would like those who offered support to his effort to follow his lead, and support Todd Doherty.
Doherty has also recently received the support of Prince George businessman T.J Grewal, who was denied eligibility to run in the nomination race because his membership was about a week shy of the necessary 6 month requirement.
Caron is now seeking the Conservative nomination in Skeena-Bulkley Valley.

Sweet!
What? Nobody wants to throw their support behind Green? Say it ain’t so.
sheeeeeep
This is good news, but the battle is not over to we reach the finish line next weekend.
Good Luck Todd
Excellent.
Hmm…Nick are you next. I would think higher of you. Hopefully you will see the light and not split the vote.
yeah Nick..
I wanna start singing the “sha na na na” song for mrs green.
And yes fedorkiw needs to get out of the way.
At this rate, Green is going to be hawking comic books it Stolz’s little shop.
Doesn’t Shari Green have her own shop?

Doesn’t Shari Green have her own shop?
———
It closed down a while back.
Apparently she couldn’t run that either…
Thank you Gerald Caron for backing Todd, I am backing Todd, vote Yes for Todd.
I wonder where she will pop up next once she looses this race.
Maybe she will be selling cars and trucks at the Chevy dealership. Wanna buy a Silverado from our good Ms Green – Naw!
Perhaps WW will need a new CEO soon! Naw!
Maybe a car washer! OK – she shouldn’t be able to do much harm there, or could she?
It is nice to see common sense prevail
I want to see green gone as much as the next guy, but I can’t help but remember what the outcome of the provincial election was SUPPOSED to be, so the writing is far from on the wall yet.
No it isn’t, but if Green runs for the conservatives votes will bleed to the Liberals
If the liberals run on the idea of legalizing pot the conservatives are toast. Even so the sooner we no longer hear the name green the better we will all be.
Why should Nick step down in a transferable ballot vote. He has every right as the next candidate to have his votes counted. If Todd has the votes he will carry the day, but Nick staying on the ballot does not elect Green unless she wins with a majority on the first ballot and then if that’s the case Nick didn’t get her elected anyways. this will go to a second ballot and neither Todd or Green will have the second choice ballots IMO.
It comes down to who will get third on the first ballot and gets eliminated. If Nick survives the first ballot then he will win on the second choice ballot… So why should he drop out and give up the nomination again? I think Nick beats Green on the first ballot.
I don’t think votes will bleed to the liberals ever in this riding. Have they ever polled over 10%. frank Oberle won in PG over many elections for the ndp so I would think with Cullen in the region and Mulclair and his leadership the ndp would be far more organized to capitalize on any conservative vote implosion.
For the Nick and Todd supporters with a sense of humor: When the Green camp phones, tell them yes, you are voting for her. Really screws up their polling…
Contractor – I already did. They are obviously working hard to try and acquire more support. I wonder if Todd and Nick are making a lot of phone calls too?!?
Will this event be televised, or at least “twitterized” so that we can know the results as they are unfolding?
On a positive note Vote for Todd, YES!
Eagleone. Frank Oberle was a Conservative.
Eagleone, lots of new posters on here lately pushing for DOHerty. But 13 year old girls can’t vote anyway.
Doherty and Grewal should both be selling used cars with Harper……
well spoken Eagleone. The next MP for Cariboo-Prince George is Nick Fedorkiw. It doesn’t matter whom Caron endorses, never heard about him before and Doherty is a guy that can’t keep a job, no business, no education.
It is conservative thinking people that will vote over all
@Philomena…..what you say is the same garbage mouth comments that Sheldon Clare has been spewing….so have to assume that Philomena is you Sheldon. You may want to clean up your act and at least pretend to act like a professional who teaches students things that may make them successful.
Philomena. Seems you have some problem with comprehension,. Didn’t Doherty work for the Airport Authority for many years, and then until just recently work for the Winter Games???
Perhaps you can explain what you mean about not keeping a job??? Or shall we assume that you are just blowing smoke up a dead mans a..
@Palopu….It’s not on Todd’s resume, but he was fired from WestJet prior to the airport manager creating a job for him.
@ Philomena It seems to me that changing a job is part of career building and is the same reason Nick Fedorkiw is no longer working in Ottawa or why millions of others in this county are considered progressive regarding their careers, so I fail to see your ridiculous point! And you know like everyone else in this town, why he had to leave the 2015 Games. So I ask you once again, Philomena why do you continue to support intimidation, workplace bullying and anti democratic actions with your malicious comments?
@ Digitus Impudicus your pettiness was tolerated but you’re now just spreading lies so please go away, we are done with you!
Wow. Got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, Digitus Impudicus. First you plagiarize then you out and out lie. Not good for a reputation. I hope you never run for government. Not the type of person I would vote for or support a candidate you recommend.
People are like the 5 people they hang around with most. At least I hope Nick stops hanging around with you. It would be better for everyone.
@ Philomena Also Mr Doherty and his wife own a local hair salon in Parkwood! The last time I checked this was considered a small business with all the reward, frustration and tremendous amount of hard work that thousands of other business owners in this region experience, so please stop your mindless dribble as well!
I wonder what would happen if Shari stepped down. That would be an interesting race. I don’t think she has the support she says she has. I might think Todd is the better candidate but I think if Shari could step down, she might be able to save a big embarrassment.
Just thinking out loud.
@ PGGUY, Sorry to burst your bubble. Hot Toddy is not perfect, and he is not a god. We should be allowed to throw poop on all candidates parades, not just Shari Green and Nick Fedorkiw.
@ Veritas. Why did Todd leave the Canada Winter Games ?
Why are you throwing poop? I thought Todd left the games to run for the conservatives. I heard rumours about Green’s involvement in Todd leaving but that seems to have gone silent.
Maybe someone else knows why he left. There are sure a lot of fireworks today.
Did Todd leave his job in Edmonton, after only 8 months, to work for the Canada Winter Games ?
I guess poop throwing is in Digitus Impudicus’s nature. I have no idea but I think to work at the games and the airport you have to have a security clearance.
Just saying, most people do, even a volunteer.
