Teddy Bear Toss Goes Tuesday

Sunday, December 7, 2014 @ 3:45 AM

Prince George, B.C. – The Saskatoon Blades won’t be the only things the Prince George Cougars hope to see tossed around at CN Centre Tuesday night. Color

The game will also mark the annual teddy bear toss, a chance for fans to throw stuffed toys, toques or mittens onto the ice after the Cougars score their first goal.

“There really isn’t anything else quite like it during the hockey season,” says Cougars vice-president – business Andy Beesley.

“The energy in the building alone is going to make this the best Teddy Bear Toss yet in Prince George and we are beyond thrilled to welcome the Prince George Firefighters to the New Ice Age and we look forward to them playing an integral role in the evening.”

And if you’d like to take part in the fun he says you’d better get your tickets quick.

“We are already over 75 percent sold out for Tuesday’s game, and we know that sales are only going to improve over the next few days.”

Once the goal is scored members of the Prince George Fire Department will pull up the netting behind the goals so that fans can throw their toys from anywhere in the building without having to leave their seats.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Prince George Salvation Army. Puck drop Tuesday is 7:00 p.m.
