Prince George, B.C.- City of Prince George crews  are working to repair a broken water main on Pinewood Avenue.

The main  broke  shortly after midnight  on Pinewood, between Westwood Drive and Ivy Street.

Water was immediately turned off,   and  although  service was restored for a time,  the water has been shut off again  so crews can make the necessary repairs.

Pinewood Avenue is closed and will remain closed until all repairs  are complete.

When service is restored, residents are advised to  let the taps run  until the water  runs clear.
