No Word Yet on Conservative Winner
Prince George, B.C. – Candidates and the supporters are waiting for word on who will carry the Conservative banner in the riding of Cariboo-Prince George.
Hundreds of Conservative Party members in the Cariboo-Prince George riding turned out to the Prince George Golf and Curling Club to vote for the person they want to carry the Conservative banner for the Cariboo- Prince George riding in the next federal election.Voter turnout was very heavy today, with a line up into the Golf and Curling club that snaked its way out into the parking lot.
Voting wrapped up just before 9 this evening, and Riding officials expected it would take about an hour and a half to count the ballots.
If there is no clear winner in the first count, ( someone who has garnered 50% +1), then the one with the lowest number of votes is dropped off, and the second choice on the ballots comes into play.
The three hopefuls are Shari Green, Nick Fedorkiw and Todd Doherty.
