Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George is doing what it can to make this holiday season a little brighter for those in need.

The City’s 11th annual “Food for Fare” program allows transit users the choice of free bus fare in exchange for at least one non-perishable food item.

The food drive runs today through Thursday with all proceeds going to the Salvation Army.

Mayor Lyn Hall is a big supporter of the program noting,”it’s important for us to give to those who are certainly in need and require various donations. It seems that during the Christmas season we tend to give a little bit more so I think this is a great initiative.”

Nice to see our new Mayor out and about. I have good feelings about the next four years.

well he has the photo op thing down pat.

Just recently we were blasting Sheri Green for the same type of picture. Good times, good times.

I also have good feelings about the next four years….I like our new mayor!
