Regional District to Select Chair
Prince George, B.C. – The Regional District of Fraser Fort George Board of Directors will hold its inaugural meeting today.
Directors were sworn in yesterday (see previous story).
The first item on their agenda today is to decide who will be the Chair.
Art Kaehn, the Director from Hixon-Woodpecker has been selected to serve as Chair each year since 2007.
On the agenda for today’s inaugural meeting is a recommendation to have a solid waste management plan put to tender. Directors will also be asked to approve their meeting schedule for the next year, and the election results including those directors who were re-elected by acclamation.
Also on the agenda, a call to update official community plan policies, and to finalize updates to Zoning bylaw 2892, which has been in place since 1986. The updates will clarify language, provide updated definitions and more current maps.
