Pineview Experiences Water Outages

Sunday, January 4, 2015 @ 12:01 PM

Prince George, B.C. – Some residents in Pineview awoke to water outages this morning.

“Basically the switch turned the pump off. We found out about it this morning and we turned it back on and the water’s replenishing as we speak,” says Greg Poitras, chairman of the board of trustees with the Pineview Improvement District.

He says he’s unsure how many residents have been affected but expects water levels to be back to normal within the next couple of hours.

Poitras says a similar outage occurred last month.

“We’ve been monitoring it but it obviously happened in between the monitoring.”

There is so much more to this then is being told. ..and some people where without water off and on for more than a month just weeks ago. …

Being a resident in Pineview, we have been left in the dark regarding
our water supply. Many days in December we woke to little or no supply and after harassing the Pineview Improvement District, (PID) we finally were informed just before Christmas they were working on the well. We never did get a straight answer to what the problems were, and its happening again. Still no answers!

Just curious if anyone that works for the regional district ever reads the articles on opion 250 because when and while we are having all these water problems it seems everyone goes into hiding…we still have not had anyone tell us what was wrong and it still continues…us that live in Pineview which is just kilometers out of city limits feel like we live in the middle of nowhere….no high speed internet in this day and age and when we have water issues which if where to happen anywhere else no what responds to us….I love living out here but for darn sakes I don’t live in a third world country….
