Friday Free For All – Jan. 9, 2015

Thursday, January 8, 2015 @ 11:59 PM

Back to work  for many following the  Christmas holidays.  The  new year started with a blast of snow and plenty of  activity  clearing the roads.

Today is your day to speak up on the issues that matter to you.

It is time for the FRIDAY FREE FOR ALL.

You pick the topic, but  obey the three simple rules:\Keep it clean

Keep it legal

No Bullying

Horrific barbaric deed by Islamic Muslin terrorists. Folks we are at war and it is here. It is time to quit softly pussy footing around and declare all out war on the terrorists.

Notice how the politicians and mainstream media will not call it what it is, militant Islamic Muslim terrorism. Thankfully we have Sun News who are not afraid to state the facts.

Harper in his statement used the word barbaric and the CBC edited out the word barbaric. Now this makes me wonder what other editing is done to support their political ideology?

Seamutt you had two morons killing in the name of Mohammed. Do you propose that we start killing in the name of Jesus? Does it make a difference to you that one of the policeman killed was Muslim? There will always be fools and madmen willing to kill for whatever reason. There was a madman a few years ago that killed over 20 children and teachers at Sandy Hook elementary. Did we declare war on madmen? And who do we declare war on? The desire to strike back is human, but regrettable. Violence will always beget more violence. Reflect upon the phrase “Blessed are the peacemakers”

Happy Friday Free For Aller’s

Sorry, no snow removal, fluoride concerns, driving frustrations or the trivial blowing snow on top of snow into the neighbors yard complaints.

However…Here’s my gripe. Recently I’ve replied to an add on Kijiji and unfortunately it’s become no surprise that I haven’t received a response, I’m interested in purchasing your unwanted item with cash in hand, WHY won’t you respond to YOUR add? 9 times out of 10 I send a reply on Kijiji, Craigslist or UsedPrinceGeroge and nothing in return. If you’ve sold the item have the decency to remove or re-list your item as SOLD, if your unwilling to maintain your listing don’t post it in the first place!

Also, for crying out loud your unwanted crap is not made of gold, don’t attach an unrealistic price and be offended when a market value offer is placed.
Example, I recently shopped for a cheap replacement cell phone for my daughter, her’s lost, only a few months remaining on contract, so she just want’s a quick fix. Lot’s of used phones online but after sending replies to about 15 adds I FINALLY received a reply, arranged for a meeting, got dicked around three times but eventually got to see this phone, a very battle scarred Samsung Galaxy S2, for those who are unaware this is about 5 generations old, but the seller want’s $250, then complains she received about 30 emails interested in her phone but they all want her to send the phone first and then they would then send the money upon receipt, fortunately she recognized these as scams, but when I (and the only valid response to her add) offered her $100 for her outdated/battered device she had a meltdown, said she wouldn’t take less than $225…negotiation ended.
We ended up shopping a similar used phone in much better condition on Craigslist Edmonton for $50, had a friend in Edmonton check out the phone and bought it for $40, we picked it up while visiting for Christmas.
Phone works great, daughter happy, I continue to be let down wit the local online marketplace.

Remember: Keep Right Except To Speed.

Evolution, I’ve given up on Craigs etc. I’ve had the same experience as you buying as well as selling.

My best was a ’98 F150 in good shape for 4500. I kid you not I got an “offer” from a local “escort” willing to work it off. That right there was what killed it for me.

Ha, ha, ha, good one billyinpg.
Good morning everyone. I hope you all have a safe day today and a good weekend. Remember icy roads and tires have their limitations. We really don’t want any more accidents that aren’t accidents.

Considering the cities focus on accessibility this week with talk of sidewalk priorities and such.

I think the city should acquire a 20′ street front from the PG golf and curling club… around the entire perimeter of the golf course for a good safe well lit pedestrian walkway separated from roads like Westwood from Pine Center to Ferry, by a small median divider, and from the golf course by a hedge with a green chain link fence inside the hedge… rather than the ugly chicken wire set up they have now. I think it would be much more aesthetically pleasing to look at a landscaped walkway around the golf course, and this type of walkway/trail infrastructure would serve a real purpose for the city as a safe centrally located outdoor walking circuit in a high growth tourist oriented part of town.

I also think with the closing of the Peden Hill MrG that maybe its time to start considering the closing of the entire Peden Hill intersection, and removing those lights altogether.

Peden Hill lights are a redundant access point to the highway that clogs up the hill with traffic congestion, lumps up the flow of a stop and go traffic, and creates unnecessary safety issues during winter driving conditions.

PG is big enough and this part of highway 16 is busy enough that an intersection like Peden Hill could be worked around easily enough with near existing infrastructure. People don’t need to use it as the Costco and Superstore access points are already well served to provide the function of the Peden Hill intersection.

Have Cowart Road just only merge through the acceleration lane to East bound traffic… a left turn at Costco will achieve the same thing as triggering the light does now without disrupting the flow of traffic.

Have West bound traffic on highway 16 only able to make a right turn to Vance Road via the deceleration lane or a left turn to Cowart Road without a light. Completely dead end Vance Road and half of the other-side of Cowart Road on the through side.

To make this happen the city would have to complete that road from Superstore behind the dealerships to Costco, and I think this should be a city priority in the years ahead. That would be the major cost in infrastructure needed to remove the Peden Hill lights from highway 16.

Also I think it is totally crappy planning how the highways department allowed Northern Toyota to have a side driveway entrance to highway 16 just after the merge lane from highway 97 without any deceleration lane, thereby having cars quickly merge at that location only to come to a complete stop so as to let someone turn off the highway into the Northern Toyota parking lot. Its an accident waiting to happen and there should be no exception for any single business in this regard… a proper deceleration lane should be mandatory, as what Wood Wheaten has for their dealership.

.

Watched a female driver do a couple of 360’s in front of me yesterday road was sanded heavily and she had just passed me in a 60 zone doing well above the speed limit and cut in to the lane hard causing her to spin and her excuse was everybody speeds here and I was the cause of her spinout because I was doing the speed limit

Gotta love self entitled people

Drive in any lane you want as its your choice. The left lane is usually smoother.

Seamutt, the U.S. started the war on terrorism after 9/11 and how is that working out for them? If the U.S. and Canada would shut up and stay home we would be better off. Weapons of mass destruction, remember that?

The U.S. started ISIS to fight in Syria and it back fired on them now it’s a really big mess! There are reports that CIA agents started the riots in Ukraine, look how that is turning out too. Who is truely the evil empire?

Canada used to be respected as a peace keeping nation. Not anymore.

There is a need for over passes to be built on hwy 16 west intersection, truck traffic is increasing.

I just think it is sad that no sand on the hill on Wed. Then someone dies, and hill is sanded on Thursday. Do we really have to have a death before sand is used?

I just think it is sad that no sand on the hill on Wed. Then someone dies, and hill is sanded on Thursday. Do we really have to have a death before sand is used?

—————

There was lots of sand on the hill on Wednesday. The problem with sand is twofold though. First, it tends to blow around when there’s a lot of traffic. Second, sand is incapable of reaching into your vehicle and lifting your foot off the accelerator.

A lot of expert drivers and road engineers commenting today, but I have but one question , how many trips to the Schnitzel Haus did take to pay that ’98 F-150 off?

Really pansy:

You want to blame that accident on no sand, are you kidding. You don’t even know the cause, your just jumping to conclusions. How about trying to drive to the road conditions weather it is sanded salted or plowed.

LOL

Nice change of pace this morning.

My thoughts on Kijiji: When buying, and the person posted the ad doesn’t reply, consider the item sold. Most people don’t delete their ads when the item is sold and they then just ignore any further calls or e-mails on the item. Move on.

When making a low-ball (or ‘market’) offer on an item which priced high to begin with, expect the person on the other end of the line to take it personally. They should simply say ‘no’ and hang up, but they don’t.

I personally like kijiji. I have bought and sold many items on it. ANother tip: Beware of propsective buyers offering to pay by Paypal. It is a scam.

Good morning!

That is the problem with these sites, it is infiltrated with scam artists. I think there should be a mechanism in place where these scam artists are set up and then punished for there actions.

Herbster do you even pay attention? Noway what happened on 9/11?

If your shopping through Kijiji you’ll also have to watch for bogus bank drafts. Criminals have become very good at scamming. Cash in hand, physically go to the bank with them, or wait till the bank draft is cleared through your bank before the transaction is completed.

I have used Kijji, to sell things successfully. If you are serious about selling things, you have to be realistic about your price. Ipay attention to the site, and remove my ads when it’s sold. Just common courtesy!
Eagleone,–when did you become a road engineer? Just seems such a non-starter to me!
The accident on the Hart–such a shame! Everyone needs to slow down and pay attention to road conditions, and other traffic! And get off your Cell phones -people!!!

Yeah I agree, get off your cell phones!!!

For every person that sites a lack of sand for the tragedy that took the life of a young lady, please consider that multiple hundreds of vehicles safely navigated that hill before the accident occured. This is compelling evidence that factors other than the road condition caused the crash. It seems our only recourse in times like these is to propel blame as quickly as possible in order to cope. We don’t need to blame and finger point to acknoweldge this for what it is: a tragedy

“I personally like kijiji. I have bought and sold many items on it. ANother tip: Beware of propsective buyers offering to pay by Paypal. It is a scam.” .. and why would paying by paypal be a scam? If you have a paypal account you can invoice them direct to their email address and they simply pay to your account. How can that be a scam?
IF they are asking for your login info saying they need it to pay you, then THAT is a scam.

I have sold items to buyers from out of town and I find paypal the easiest way for me and the buyer to complete the transaction. Kijiji over Craigslist anyday. Craigslist is too full of scammers and escorts. Escort ads in every category, at least Kijiji had the sense to get rid of their personal section and keep it predominately classifieds.

Well just had a few days stay in the hospital and the care I received was great. nurses were great, my surgeon and his assistants checked in on me each day. The occupational therapists helped me out tons as well.

My only concern was the food, well can’t really be called that. I am sure it meets Canada’s standards but just barely. Barely doesn’t work,

I actually had to pay to upgrade my hip to a better model as our lovely government will only pay for the cheapest ones.

Got to ask you billyinpg don’t you believe in DICKHERING.

@Huh: Google “kijiji Paypal Scams”. It’s too easy as a seller to get ripped off. Maybe for small dollar items I would consider Paypal, but definitely not for larger items.

The government wants to Bring 10,000 Syrian refugees to Canada, Why do we need to Import more TROUBLE, More welfare cases, who WILL get more money then our old age pensioners get, Pensioners have paid into it all their lives, and Get less then our New enemy’s that we want to Bring to our Country. This would be like allowing Nazi’s to come over to live in Canada during WW2 and paying them. The Syrian People started the Civil War, let them finish it and share the of their actions. We do not need more

That’s just terrible! Diamond encrusted titanium hips for everyone!

For most of my life I have accessed crown land either by snowmobile or motor bike and now by quad. However, that right has been taken away until I register and put liability insurance in place. Yes, another cash grab by the government to encroach on my rights as a tax paying citizen. You all will be paying now because the liability insurance is covered by ICBC. The Ministry of Forests can enforce this law along with the RCMP. Yup, for the few that have caused trouble so will the rest of us suffer. Not being able to leave my own property to enjoy nature seems kinda communistic.

Good morning to every one in Prince George. Another balmy day in Abby this morning. Temperature sits at 6 and the sun is just starting to peek over Mt Selesse.

Notice that some of the expert on this site are talking about 911. Lets look at some facts. The UN spent 12 years in Afghanistan . Canada spent 18 billon, 152 Canadians died there and how many more were injured? The country is still has many problems.

Canada in World War II lost 40’000 Canadians was in the war for four years. The war didn’t cost 18 billion (experts give me the cost) and the result was a stable democracy.

In Korea we lost 517 Canadians in three years and Korea today is a stable democracy. I don’t know the cost.

Now I want you experts top tell me why the problem in Afghanistan hasn’t been resolved! I cant even guess what the problem in Iraq that’s an American boon doggle
Cheers

Living: “However, that right has been taken away until I register and put liability insurance in place. Yes, another cash grab by the government to encroach on my rights as a tax paying citizen.”

I’m sure they said the same thing when they forced everyone to register their cars.

The sad part is that injuries and deaths (and costs to the medical system) are rising due to people’s inexperience and ineptitude when operating these machines. Registration fees/insurance to offset some of the costs was inevitable.

“Now I want you experts top tell me why the problem in Afghanistan hasn’t been resolved!”

I think the problem is even the “experts” dont know. But you are dealing with a country with a very complex social structure in a part of the world where conflict has been going on for a very long time. This is also compounded by decades of western intervention. Maybe the problem has been resolved.. say for example we havent had a 9/11 sytle attack during this occupation. This might just be a new norm.. Its a non compromising situation no matter how you look at it.

Axman, if I didn’t upgrade my hip I would have had at least one more replacement done.. At the cost to the tax payers. With me upgrading I just saved the tax payers a lot of money, won’t take up surgeons time, operating room time etc. Your continued ignorance is comical..but I weep for your family.

Btw Donald Mackenzie refugees get approx $28,000 each a year to live off , subsidized housing and get to use our medical and dental, our seniors get $13,000, and pay premiums for medical and dental. So quick math makes it $280,000,000 a year just in our payments to them. Disgusting to say the least. Be born and bred in Canada, pay taxes all your life..here is $13,000 to live on…. Come to Canada and here’s $28,000 .. A person earning minimum wage only makes just under $22,000, but at least they are earning it. I have sent numerous emails regarding this to our MP with no response at all.

I noticed a lot of comments about kijiji and craig’s list, have you ever used the Bargain Finder. It’s free and they always call me to make sure my ads are still for sale. I have tried kijiji a few times and found I was getting a lot of people trying to scam me. No damn spam. I have yet to get a spammer call from ads in the book.

Why do the idiots still park their cars on the road. You know the snow plows are out. The city is doing a good job ticketing them. Three people on my street got fines. Maybe they’ll learn!!!!!

Carpenter, I live in a culdesac and my neighbour parks in the middle of the road, sometimes for 15-20 min sometimes over night, I have talked to him about it but he continues to do it.. Time to call a tow truck I guess.. He never uses his driveway.

Yeah it is ridiculous P Val. Between that and all these ridiculous wage increase pensioners don’t stand a chance at equality of life. Very sad

P Val – glad your surgery went well.

As for the hip upgrade, welcome to the phantom two tier healthcare system. Canada Health Act requires a minimum, government knows if a person can afford the upgrade, they’ll take it to save themselves another surgery, so they aren’t worried about you going for the base model, few people will skip the upgrade and have another surgery to spite the government.

Seniors making $13,000.00 do not pay MSP premiums. They are in the threshold where the government pays 100% of the premium.

A senior who lived in Canada their whole life, without CPP, no job, etc. gets closer to $16,000.00 a year combined OAS and federal supplement. They get it whether they live in a 12 wide in mobile home park, or a two million dollar house in Vancouver. It’s income tested, not means tested.

It works out to $7.70 per hour – so name brand dog food is out of the question. Of course, they can always work at Timmies or Home Depot to upgrade to human food – assuming they can work.

But fortunately we have endless cash when it comes to going to war and making sure Senators are adequately compensated.

Maybe they looked your age up on a chart and figured you’d be dead long before you needed another replacement. No extra cost to the taxpayer there.

But you just wanted a free handout didn’t you?

Your continued sense of entitlement is well past comical and is into downright scary.

Ski.. Thanks, As for the upgrade I am only the second person in PG to get the upgrade in 2 yrs. so at approx 4 replacements done a week so that’s less than 1%. I do feel sorry for people who can’t afford it though. It’s not a very pleasant thing to go,through. Also thanks for your numbers on retirement.

“But fortunately we have endless cash when it comes to going to war and making sure Senators are adequately compensated.”

Let’s not forget the endless amounts of cash we apparently have to throw around to all those public sector employees. And the endless amounts of cash for political boondoggles like IPG. The list goes on and on but nobody seems to have the political will to change any of it.

And the endless cash for tax breaks for foreign corporations and the give away of our natural resources to them for profit. A family of two pays $130.00 per month to MSP I think its only fair that we should get the medical treatment we want or need.
cheers

Why do some Idiot Drivers drive up to your Rear Bumper on a Hill with a Stop Sign in front of you. You can’t move ahead on the Ice and you can’t move back ? Some Days I wonder about this Place!

“And the endless cash for tax breaks for foreign corporations and the give away of our natural resources to them for profit. A family of two pays $130.00 per month to MSP I think its only fair that we should get the medical treatment we want or need.”

Like I said, the list goes on.

For 65 bucks a month you expect the health care system to be at your beck and call? That’s $780 a year; two days wages and benefits for a nurse. Let me know when you want your 2 days and I’ll see what I can do.

Why can funeral homes do a funeral/cremation if it is gov’t funded for $900.00, but the least expensive a person can get if paying for it is $1500.00. Gouging people at their weakest and lowest point is despicable in my books. To top it off, the cost of the funeral/cremation is frozen by the bank and unaccessable if coming out of an estate, just so the funeral home above all gets paid, EVEN before any other previous bills.

“Why do some Idiot Drivers drive up to your Rear Bumper on a Hill with a Stop Sign in front of you.” .. you answered your own question, because they are idiots.

Retired 02

It’s time to get the uniform out of mothballs and go finish the job in Korea as they are still in a state of war but have had a long cease fire. There are still 30,000 American troops on the south side of the DMZ and have there have been close to 50,000 at times since the ’50s plus god knows how many from South Korea and other nations. How many billions wasted since Hot Lips headed home(not to mention another 550 lives in skirmishes over the years)

Guess this is what a war run by communists and trade unionists looks like, go home not because the job is done but because the shift is over. Then let the next shift stand around and breast feed their rifle for 50+ years while waiting for something to happen.

I see you have still have not figured out that is your pension plans investment in profitable companies that allow the small contributions you make grow into something that keep the checks coming from when you retire till it is time for you to feed the worms.

You’re not related to the North Korean Kim family are you? Kim Jong Reynolds?

Eagleone,I am not sure I understand what you propose for turning left from Highway 16 onto Cowart Road.If you are implying that they should remove the traffic lights there,I believe the number of fatalities will go up exponentially. If anything this town needs more traffic lights at some intersections, such as Ferry and Ospika. The idiot drivers in Prince George need all the help they can get while navigating our cities roads.

Axman, I am 52… The cheap.hip last 15-20 yrs depending on activity level, average age of passing for my family is many many years past that.. It’s to easy to make you look silly.. Maybe one day you will know what you are talking about and will post something worthwhile..but can’t see that happening very soon..but good luck with that…lol

Some peoples neighbours hey p val. I have a neighbour who parked two uninsured vehicles with out engines on the street.
They already towed 3. And I saw tickets on their windshields. Gonna be some angry people

Okay P Val. As you might have guessed, I am an accountant. Now (Sarcasm alert) there are hundreds of my brethren working for Northern Health diligently seeking ways to save the taxpayer money, and improve patient care. They analyse everything, and I’m sure they would’ve stumbled across the cost effectiveness of using the higher grade hip – that is – if they ever actually talked to a doctor. But in reality, they talk to each other, come up with fantastic analysis, have a meeting to discuss it, then go to their illegally parked car on 3rd avenue blocking legitimate tax paying businesses customer access, and go home feeling they’ve done a hard days work.

End Sarcasm here:

From my outside looking in perspective, I think:

Their real objective is to work with budgets. If there is budget with so much for replacement hips, they’ll divide it by the cheapest acceptable product – i.e., we can get 200 cheapo hips or 150 lifetime guarantee hips. That’s 50 hips less – that’s stupid, buy the cheapo hips.

Then, across the hall is the guys who manage the actually surgery budget. And they only care that the per hip budgeted surgery cost is met, they never think, that they’ve got repeat customers that don’t need to repeat.

FACT: All organizations originally come into being to serve a purpose to benefit humanity, then in time, humanity purpose becomes – serve the organization.

If you demanded each employee of Northern Health write a one page letter explaining how if they didn’t show up to work, how patient care would be negatively impacted, you’d get a lot of letters full of half truths.

But I’m good with this, because if someone really shook up Northern Health and made it lean, mean, and productive – there’s be so many unemployed accountants I would have some serious competition.

52? God, based on the way you constantly whine, I had you pegged at about 75.

You can afford the upgrade yet you still feel entitled to get the rest of us to pay for it? Do you work for the government by any chance?

The only time I’ve ever had good hospital food was in Japan. For some reason, Canadian and American hospitals just can’t do it.

Actually axman, P Val has a point. If a hip replacement – all in, is say $10,000, and a 52 year old using the basic hip, will need another hip replacement in 20 years, but for say another $2,000.00, he can get a hip that will mean he will never need another one, we’re up $8,000.00 – so he’s not really asking us to pay for his diamond encrusted hip, he’s pointing out that we’re p***ing money into the wind by going cheap now. What he has failed to understand (sarcasm), is NH only cares about this year’s budget, and maybe 5 years out. 20 years out, they will all have moved on. So their goal is not to worry about the hip replacement budget for the next 30 years, they want to do as many hip replacements as they can, with the money they were given this year. Typical government/bureaucrat short shortsightedness – but the right decision. If they said, okay, we got 2 million for hip replacements, it’s 200 cheap ones, or 166 expensive ones, which means 34 people don’t get a hip – when the right decision, is for the government to pony up the cash necessary to do the right thing – long term. But then, they’d raise our taxes to pay for it, and what do we care about seniors 20 years from now – oh crap, that’ll be me.

But hey, all those great mayors of PG in the past that kept taxes low, and magically made the budget work, have left us with a crumbling infrastructure/equipment, and wage rates we’re struggling to pay – but they didn’t care about today, back then, they cared about then. And that is how we humans make our decisions.

POSTED BY ‘CARPENTER’: Why do the idiots still park their cars on the road. You know the snow plows are out. The city is doing a good job ticketing them. Three people on my street got fines. Maybe they’ll learn!!!!!

What I’d like to know is why people are NOT parking on the road? I’m just talking about the ones that think the sidewalk is their personal parking stall. I cannot think of any circumstances where it is justified to park on the sidewalk.

As long as it’s convenient for the person that owns the vehicle? Well I certainly hope that it’s their mother with a cane that needs to get past them, or their wife with a baby stroller, or their brother in his medical scooter.. or their sister with her two little kids in tow.

Why is the arrogance of that driver more important than taking the time to think about the person(s) that now have to step out INTO the street to get around your inconsiderate ass !!!

Get your vehicles OFFFFFF the sidewalks people!!!

Actually axman, P Val has a point.

——-

She does, but I’m not going to admit it. :)

Once we start giving people top of the line hip replacements were do we stop? Now everyone’s going to want the best and we just can’t afford it.

ski51, more than likely, the accountants at Northern Health are trying to manage their operations within an annual budget, because that is what they are told to do by their masters in Victoria. This, as opposed to taking a longer term strategic approach and making decisions that could be far more effective over a longer planning horizon.

The root of the problem, IMHO, is that our political system just isn’t built around thinking long term, at least not in the same way as a private enterprise would be. Instead, it is focused on short-term results and remaining in power for the next term.

This isn’t just an accounting department problem, or even one confined to Northern Health. The problem extends to virtually everything. I give you downtown revitalization in PG as a prime example. For years, council was so focused on getting stuff built and saying yes to proposals (so they could tick a box in the short-term), that they completely abandoned any concept of a long term plan that would have actually developed a vibrant downtown core in the city. Short-term gain, long-term pain.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure I see any realistic solution occurring anytime soon. Voters often don’t understand the issues and/or they believe whatever politicians promise and politicians often don’t understand the issues and/or they don’t have the courage to do things that are probably needed, but could put in jeopardy their chances of re-election when their current term is up. So we sit around and blame the public sector workers for doing the job they are paid to do and we complain that they are the root of the problem even though, for the most part, they are completely powerless to change anything.

It can be a horribly inefficient system and it can result in allot of head scratching decisions, but when you look around at this world that we live in, there still aren’t too many places that provide people with what we have here. That’s not to say that we shouldn’t try and improve things, but it is important to not lose sight of that.

Eagleone, I think it’s time you got in to the City and Highway traffic engineers and have this conversation with them. You’ve raised some very valid ideas that should be looked at. Thanks for sharing them here.

LOL ski51, our posts crossed ;)

Highway 16 is under Provincial jurisdiction. Eagle also is proposing an overpass where Tyner meets Highway 16. I just hope he’s not holding his breath.

Duh, that’s why I said “Highway” engineers, as in Ministry of Transportation, some folks I guess you just gotta spell it out.

Sorry Johnny, that came across sarcastic.
I wonder if the city and highway can get together and merge Ospika to Hwy 16 anytime soon, gotta be the stupidest delay for alleviating traffic flow at Tyner and 16 I’ve ever seen.

That was a pretty harsh response, Griz my friend. I’ll let it slide this time. ;-)

And hey, leave the City alone. They’re busy putting up lights where they’re really needed, like behind Canadian Tire!

JB….you have no idea how much that light pisses me off.

And, if you can’t prove that you paid the PST on said atv, sled or what have you, you will pay the PST on the market value of your machine.

Buddy beside me driving a burgundy f150 in the right hand left turn lane on Ferry heading west bound on hwy 16, decides after we turn left that he wants in front of me. Why didn’t you just start out in the left left turn lane you idiot? He tries forcing his way in between me and the car ahead of me. Sorry dickhead, 2 vehicle lengths between me and the other car ahead of me isn’t enough room to be forcing nothing. He then slows down and gets in behind me and turns on his huge LED light bar. How did it feel almost eating my rear bumper you moron? He changes lanes again and passes me in the right lane heading up Peden Hill. He changed lanes about 6 times swerving through traffic between the bottom of Peden Hill and Domano where he continued west bound past Domano. Are you frikken kidding me? People are getting more and more stupid as time goes on. It’s no wonder so many crashes are occurring these days. Don’t get me started on how you dopes drive around transport trucks either. Why would you pull out in front of one that is doing 90 kmh and do 45 kmh?

Brain dead pure and simple. If I run over you you can blame yourself.

Why is the light at Ferry Ave and Lansdowne Rd changing with no one there? Why do you signal your intention of entering the traffic circle at the end of the Cameron St bridge, yet you don’t signal when you are leaving it? What makes you think you and 10 other cars can force their way into the traffic circle and prevent other users from entering it? Why when another car has to force its way into the traffic circle because said idiots have no sense of common courtesy do you blow your horn and give them the finger?

People wonder what causes road rage on our streets. Look in the bloody mirror!

The biggest problem with our health care as I have said before is that its top heave7 with administration like most government institutions. Any time I have made a visit to a hospital I see people wondering around looking busy.
Cheers

Thx nmg. I was reading your first post and thinking – yeah – that’s what I said then read your next one. :). Pval. First, I didn’t know your gender but according to axman ye be a she than he so I’ll keep that in mind. On the hip thing. I believe it was Shakespeare who said kill all the lawyers. As much as I enjoy slagging NH they may be less culpable than I thought. Many hip replacements are probably done on people who a 20 year timeframe probably covers their expected lifespan. People in their 70s and such. But bet your bottom dollar if NH started giving better hips to people under say 65 than those over the lawyers would be in court demanding equality. So instead of common sense will have lowest common denominator thinking less we be sued. Thankfully you had the resources to do the smart thing.

Guessing Axman is looking for a date..lol.. But male here, maybe axman is more interested now… Not one to judge but will pass.

The odds were 50/50 so I took a guess! :) Besides, at my age the only dating I’m concerned with is “carbon”.

Well heading for Australia soon, the land of traffic circles, and people who know how to use them. Just have to remember to go around clockwise! If you see some idiot going around our traffic circle clockwise, that may be me, just back into PG

Why does one need a new hip at 52? Is your lifestyle to blame or something genetic? Good thing you live in Canada eh?

pVal.. yeahhh think they got a huge discount on those cheap hips for they sure are pushing them on people. Glad to hear you upgraded, so it’ll last ya more than 15 years..

As for driving, had the opportunity to drive to the Hart around supper time.. yesss a lot of road hoggers heading home going under the speed limit plugging up both lanes with plenty of room ahead of them. If going to be going slow, slow some courtesy and stay in right lane. not keep up up guy driving in next lane..

Axman and PVal hooking up for a date…Hilarious… Move over drivers… this is a dating site now :)

this is a late reply on the Smithers arena post that comments closed on . if living by my means makes me a redneck in the eyes for those that think that putting on the ritz on the public tab is going to make this town future prosperity well I hope your right . because the resource industries that built what we have up to now might not be here for ever .

It’s a result of a car accident in 1982 that I needed the new hip, and wasn’t driving. I am sure they bought the cheapest hips out there as its seniors that usually get them replaced. For seniors their hips usually collapse just due to use overtime. They don’t fall and break their hips which is a common misconception.

As for driving all I know is there is always a idiot in front of me, beside me and behind me..lol

“Don’t get me started on how dopes drive transport trucks”

Totally oblivious to even basic rules of the road such as proper high beam usage, merging back into traffic at the end of passing lane and maintaing safe following distance when driving on the highway. Road rage like considering throwing ball bearings at other drivers or the guy the other day going to “talk” to another driver about signal light usage while carrying his tire thump hammer.

I don’t know what is the bigger tragedy, that the government issued a license or that the companies have lowered the bar and hired these people. There are far to many people on the road driving vehicles with 18 wheels that are much more suited mentally to operate something with 15 wheels less. If the front wheel of the tricycle has spokes then the license they clearly do not deserve can be attached with a clothes pin for a terrific sound effect

OH NO turned on huge LED light bar…bit of Karma for those who were blinded by high beams flashed in their eyes. Perhaps it is time to look in the “bloody mirror” in that chip truck.
