It’s a Gas, Gas, Gas

Prince George, B.C. – Motorists seemed to feel they had good reason to line up at the pumps at the Costco outlet on Friday.
The reason? Another 2-cent drop in the price of a litre of regular gasoline.
The nearest competitors price-wise, Superstore and Canadian Tire, were still selling at 90.9 cents per litre as of late Friday night.

Tempers were short there yesterday too when I was there with a friend we waited almost 30 minutes to get to the pump and more than one person was impatient and short tempered

Crazy. If it was me I would have wondered if 4 cents a liter was really worth a half hour wait? That’s 4 bucks for 100 liters.
Must be the Black Friday mentality kicking in when prices drop like that.
How many people in the line up,are running their vehicles the whole time defeating the purpose a bit..lol
Some will only buy gas at Costco now out of spite after many years of being over charged by all the other stations in town.
When we were in the line up there were 7 vehicles in front of us and at least another 6 in the line behind us even if we had wanted to get out of the line at that point in time we couldn’t we noticed several very impatient drivers who were gesturing and appeared to be yelling through their windows at the people in front of them and then you had the people who did not know where their gas caps were or how to properly use the gas pumps or had to stretch the pump lines to the max to reach the gas fill those were the funniest to watch of all.
I was really impressed with the Costco people though they did their best to keep the line moving and kept smiling through it all kudos have to go to them for that I expect today will be even worse as now the weekend drivers will be out in force.
Dearth, you must have hit the AMHI hour. Ha,ha
Without the carbon tax scam it would be below 80 cents. With cheaper gas more being sold the production of c02 must be through the greenhouse roof. Feels warmer today!
I only ever buy at Costco ,,out of spite,,put 70 to 80 liters in the truck and 60 liters in my gas jugs.
You’ve got to pick your times there. Sometimes there isn’t a lineup at all but with the drop and it being a Friday night it was guaranteed to be busy. I wonder how much gas they sell. Can’t wait for them to start selling diesel….we’re still getting gouged for that.
First thing in the morning during the weekday is best. Hardly ever have a lineup. At most 1 vehicle in front of you. I was there yesterday around 5 pm, I didn’t find it extremely busy or nuts. I had 1 vehicle in front of me waiting for the guy ahead to move on and the other pumps had lineups but never observed any hostility or rudeness. I already had a membership at Costco before they had pumps, but I probably would have got one simply to be able to stop buying from the robber barrens in town.
Gas is apparently $1.399 at Bear Lake! Holy cow! Fill up before heading north!
Things would be much better without the Carbon Tax, never could figure out why we pay Carbon Tax while our govt is promoting LNG pipelines?
Waiting a half hour to gas up while sitting in your car idling makes no sense whatsoever, but whatever floats people’s boats.

Because we have governments that secretly believe, “Too much prosperity is not good for you,” it might make you ‘lazy’. So instead of actual prosperity they make moves to create the illusion of prosperity, which takes the form of inflation. Gordon Campbell was one of the worst practitioners of this financial ‘black magic’, either by accident or design. To him, anything that raised prices was an indicator of prosperity. Could have come from his ‘land pimping’ background as a go-fer for the likes of property devil-oper Jack Poole. The current Premier isn’t any better, just a little more inept on the delivery.
Big companies have carbon credit guys who negotiate them back and forth.. It’s Being pushed as good for the environment but it’s not.. Just another waste and cost to the tax payer.
Gas should be about 50cents a litre with the price per barrel.. Air travel, all consumables etc should also have a lower price because we all heard the crying of the companies having to raise the prices to compensate for the increased transportation costs..anyone heard a peep about the prices dropping?
As for the people who get frustrated waiting in line at costcos gas bar.. Suck it up buttercup.. Save some money and wait or save time and pay more, you have a choice. Do you expect to run in and out of Costco, of course not, so why would the gas bar be different.. Never happy I guess..
When you are using your cell phone waiting for the traffic light to change it is distracted driving so if you are on your cell phone when you are waiting in line at the gas bar is that considered distracted driving too?
“Suck it up buttercup”…..I can see why axman misjudged your gender. :-)
Digitus ????
Haha it’s always lined up like that no matter the price. I just hate when people don’t go around the closest vehicle making the wait times even longer! Duh.
Filled up at 90.9 at Superstore, minus 7 cents per litre on the card,
that was real nice.
Johnny, that was funny!
