Tennants Evacuated Safely From Apartment Fire

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire Rescue personnel remain on the scene of an apartment building fire tonight.

Firefighters and five pieces of equipment were called to a fire at the City Gate Apartments in the 1600 block Queensway just after 8:30 tonight. The fire started in a corner suite on the ground floor and at last report had been contained to that suite.

Deputy Chief Cliff Warner told 250 News that all 27 people who were in the building at the time had been safely evacuated. A Prince George Transit bus was brought in to provide warmth for the tenants.
