You know your from PG when your pissin’ and moanin’ about the cold and snow while fueling the sled.
I you do not care for the cold or snow, this is the wrong place for you.
No amount of Vancouver Architectural design or Lower mainland style civil engineering will change that.

Rather the snow and colder weather than the record amounts of pouring rain and never ending gray.

As a 50 year resident of PG now living in Abbotsford, a few comments…
A world class cross country facility ten minutes from my home. Nope.
A choice of ski hills for maybe two runs or ten within an hour. Nope
Cabin on a beautiful lake 45 minutes from town that also offers seclusion. nope.
Getting away from everyone with a belly boat. Nope. Fishing on the Vedder is a contact sport.
Community spirit if the Iceman. Nope.
Established, successful hospice house. Nope
Mind you, I haven’t shoveled snow for nine years!

There are probably plenty of us on this site that have a lot more than 30 years in Prince George 02. We get it, you hate PG. Why didn’t you just comment on the sunrise and try a positive post once I awhile.

I recall some friends who were heading to the fraser valley to pick organic blueberries, were gonna bring them back to Smithers and preserve them. They’d moved up the year before from Langley. I asked them if they were at all concerned about the pollution in the fraser valley that continuously drifted in from the large metropolitan areas, and they hadn’t thought of that. They ended up getting a whole whack of incredible blueberries and huckleberries around Smithers and were amazed at the flavour.
Retired, sometimes with some things, you just gotta put it in your pipe and smoke it. Because there are some things (And I know you gotta miss them) that you miss up here that you just can’t get down there.
For one, saskatoon pie that you pick your self.
I enjoy visiting the LMD once every five years or so, but that’s about it.
