Victoria Unveils Online Career Tool Kit
Prince George, B.C. – Young people looking for career information now have two more options at their fingertips.
My Blueprint Builder can be found at WorkBC.ca and provides skills-training information, local job-market background and financial-aid options throughout the province.
It also includes the Career Compass, a new interactive tool which allows students to learn which careers may be suitable for them.
In addition it helps youth determine which jobs are in demand and in what regions.
The government says both online career tools meet commitments made in B.C.’s Skills for Jobs Blueprint launched last spring.
“My Blueprint Builder is a great one-stop on line hub with a vast array of career-planning information – available where and when people need it,” says Shirley Bond, Minister of Jobs, Tourism, Skills Training and Minister Responsible for Labour.
“Like a fully stocked tool box…. with the right tools, people can gain confidence to build a career path and find their fit in today’s growing and changing economy.”
