CN Centre Celebrates Trainboni

Prince George, B.C. – The CN Centre has taken a step to celebrate the history of the railway in Prince George, decking out one of its ice resurfacing machines to resemble an historic locomotive.
With a special paint job and steam rising from its stack and undercarriage, this Zamboni pays homage to CN’s locomotive #6060.
Built during World War II, this type of locomotive came to be known as the “Bullet Nose Betties” because of the conical shaped smokebox cover.
“There is no other ice resurfacer in the world like our Trainboni” says CN Centre Manager Glen Mikkelsen, “We are thrilled to show off our partnership with CN, with this tribute to our nation’s locomotive heritage.”
You can expect to see the Trainboni during Prince George Cougars games, and the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
