Valemount – Highway 5 is closed  near Valemount after a two vehicle collision, 10 kilometers north of the community.

A highway inspector , died at the scene of the crash, which involved a vehicle, and a transport truck.

No time is being given as to when the highway will re open.

There is a detour available via Blackman Rd, around the crash scene
