Lane Restrictions Expected as Traffic Light Repairs Continue
Thursday, February 5, 2015 @ 3:57 AM
Prince George, B.C.- Expect more lane restrictions and stop and go traffic at 15th and Carney today.
A crash yesterday morning knocked out the traffic light standard at that intersection.
The collision caused damage to the control box, walk signals and the traffic lights. Necessary repairs are extensive, and while City crews worked all day yesterday, they wrapped up their day with getting the lights to a flashing red stage.
The City is checking for replacement parts, and if the necessary replacement parts are available, crews will return to the site today to complete those repairs.

Anyone know if they’re fixed yet?
Drove by this afternoon, not yet complete but looks closer. As for yesterday’s comment by Oldun…as another thought, maybe the Iphone Oldun saw being used was for Google Earth. It is a useful tool for a summertime view of a site…estimators at my company use it all the time. Or maybe calling home about working late or cancelling an appointment because someone crashed their vehicle into a bunch of public property? Im also glad it was not a hit and run leaving you and I (as taxpayers) footing the bill. I dont know what it takes (wiring traffic lights) but am glad they do, thats my opinion and you are intitled to yours Oldun…no matter how negative and miserable it is, dont take offence though…just have a sense of humor, and a good day :)
