Fraser Lake, B.C.- One person  has died in  a vehicle crash   on highway 16, about  2 kms east of Fraser Lake.Highway 16 west near Fraser Lake has reopened to single lane alternating   traffic.   The highway  had been closed for several hours.

The crash involved a pick up truck and  a logging truck and occurred around 8:45 this morning.  The 31 year old driver of the pick up truck  was pronounced dead at the scene.  The 18 year old female passenger in that vehicle sustained minor injuries.

An RCMP crash reconstructionist  is on scene  attempting to determine the  cause of this  crash.

There is no word on when the highway will reopen.

Name of the deceased  has not yet been released.
