Terrace, B.C. – A teenage boy is dead following a shooting incident in Terrace.

Police say it happened last night at around 10:00 p.m. at a home on Molitor Street.

Mounties arrived to find a 15 year old boy suffering from a gunshot wound who was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital where he later died.

They say a 16 year old Terrace youth was also at the residence at the time of the shooting and was taken into custody

Police believe the two knew each other and say the public is not at risk.

The investigation is in its early stages and police are working in partnership with the BC Coroners Service and Police Victim Services.
